In 2006, MedicWest
shook up the private industry in Las Vegas when it took the 48
hour work week and replaced it with a 4/3 - 3/4 schedule.
The change gave team members an additional 26 days off a year
while the employees saw no cut in salary for the extra days off.
To help people
develop a long term career in EMS in the Las Vegas Valley,
MedicWest Ambulance has enhanced operations to enable personal
and professional growth within our organization.
We did this by taking the traditional pay scale and adding an
additional 6 steps of pay increases. We also offer full
tuition scholarships into Intermediate and Paramedic Classes.
In the future,
MedicWest Ambulance will continue to be on the leading edge of
making changes so that all team members can continue to provide
the best patient care in the Valley.
